    Intelligent information systems represent the next generation of information systems whose intelligence is reflected in the management of a huge number of interdependent interactions in the system as well as with users and other systems in order to solve common problems, search, retrieve, access and manipulate with a wide range of multimedia information and knowledge, as well as to make decisions under conditions of uncertainty. Intelligent Information systems are no longer passive (information collecting, processing and presentation in a structured way as traditional information systems) but they are open, global and interactive.
    Research: The mission of our research is to develop new practical solutions based on intelligent information systems. We identify intelligent intelligent information systems as a central point in the world of content, systems, organizations, societies and businesses that converge to a global virtual info-space. We are working on the problems to be solved in order to develop Universal Virtual Machine meta-model for Intelligent Information Systems.
    Education: Intelligent Information Systems Lab is also intended to provide lecturing and laboratory exercises in a number of courses such as: Introduction to Information Systems, Information Systems, Information systems design, Semantic Web, Bioinformatics, etc..

    Collaborative Wiki environment that connect people, relevant information, knowledge, interaction, innovative methodologies and tools for learning process support. InfosysWiki supports internal and external collaboration, process management, interaction, sharing, and knowledge retrieval and heterogeneous information integration. 
  • Semantic Multiple Choice Questions (SeMCQ) generator – Open Source project
    SeMCQ is a prototype for the use of semantic web technologies for the automatic generation of learning materials. It is based on an innovative approach to automatically generate tests based on the knowledge available on the Web in the form of ontologies.,
