About

    Laboratory for modeling, simulation and control systems is scientific, research and teaching laboratory operating within the Department of Automatics. It deals with the problems of modeling and simulation of dynamical systems and the design and implementation of control systems in the process industry. Laboratory consists of three separate functional units. The first is used for scientific and research work of employees as well as the students at the master and doctoral studies. Laboratory is equipped with modern models of real systems, produced by Inteco, with possibility to perform experiments for verification of designed control methods for dynamical systems (modular servo system, anti-lock braking system, two rotor aerodynamical system, magnetic levitation system, industrial crane, inverted pendulum, hydraulic three-tank system). The second part of the lab is used for performing laboratory exercises in identification and control of processes on modern equipment manufactured by Gunt and Feedback (models for the control of the flow, level, temperature, pressure and pH value). A third separate entity of the laboratory is a computer lab for teaching, equipped with industrial control equipment for exercises in PLC and SCADA systems manufactured by Siemens, Omron and Schneider.
